Filming and editing by Henri Holland from #Hollandfilms
We want say couple of things about our experiences with that amazing city! Barcelona already feels like a second home to us! Some of us more, some of us less, but after the summer in Estonia we often tend pack up our bikes and head out to the BMX mecca. For a bmx riders, Barcelona is not only perfect because of all those amazing spots EVERYWHERE in the city or the perfect concrete parks, it is also amazing place because of the local BMX scene. There are extremely friendly local riders, bmx shops and people generally in Barcelona, who are always willing to help out the visitors like us out with places to crash, spotchecks, best restaurant recommendations and pretty much everything.
We would like to thank Pere Tefalla, the founder of Pirate BMX and 360bs store for the acommodation, support and that awesome lunch in exotic Asian restaurant! Huge thanks goes to Monster Energy for making our trip possible in first place! Thank You Mr. Bernat Via Comaz for introducing us that iconic El Prat concrete park and for going on filming sessions with us.
Also massive thanks to “Tips BMX“ Youtube channel for hosting us in Your BMX themed vlog show (check out the episode below).
Henri and Talis arrived to the spot and were ready to film one of the ender bangers clip. There was no warm up, instantly first try all in 360 send to a nasty crash. Talis left the spot with a swollen finger and some deep scratches onhis helmet. He was unfortunately out for rest of the tour. The Morale of this story is to always wear a helmet, because without one, probably the injuries could easily be way more serious.
There are spots in every corner you look in BCN. That one was one of the sketchiest, a high speed run up with narrow ledge and a high level to fall down to. Rasmus – manual to tobo.
Barcelona street is awesome, but so are the skateparks. Perfect concrete, compact but has everything you need to have a good session. Talis Viirpalu – tuck nohander at Forum Concrete Skatepark.
Rasmus chilling out at “the Dragon spot”. One of the toughest spots we hit during the tour. We spent many hours there. Didn’t get the trick we went for, but Bernat and Talis still got some good stuff.
